Accreditation
Texas State University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees. Texas State may also offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. The Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication program at Texas State University is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC). The health information management accreditor of TexasState University is the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics andInformation Management Education (CAHIIM). The university’s accreditation forthe Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (BSHIM) degree hasbeen reaffirmed through April 2027.
