  Had this teacher before, all his classes are easy if you put in the effort. This class had a moderate number of projects, some were easy, others required a fair amount of time. Grading is pretty straight forward. You need the Adobe book to pass the class. He doesn't teach much, but I do feel like I learned a lot from the book.

  Easy class. Do the project and show some effort and you'll pass. Grading criteria is a little fuzzy because even if you include everything asked of you, he might still say he wanted something different and take points off. No quizzes or tests, just book projects and creative projects. I recommend this professor.

  I took his digital media class before, but I didn't think that the comments would be right. Yes! He doesn't even know how to grade people. You can have C for literally no reason. Since he is the only one, you need to be careful and read the instructions well, even if he did not clarify his expectations.

  I should've listened to these reviews. He isnt clear with what he wants and will make you fail the class! WHOEVER wrote the last review, I want to say THANK U cuz I got college credit using Certiport exams (in the testing center) instead of taking his classes and will take the other classes at Valencia & Daytona State using the Transient program.

  Just because he worked in Duke Nukem: Time to Kill, DOESNT mean he's awesome. He's awful! Almost all of the courses that are in the Digital Media AS degree are taught by Kappers. It would be better to take the courses that he teaches at another college using the Transient program. Check out Certiport exams as well. Thank me later and AVOID him!

  He is AWFUL. Takes over a month to grade assignments and waits until the last day of the semester to grade. Wont let you make corrections on the assignment because he waited too long to grade it so it was after his late work deadline which is fine but if you have a deadline how about grade before it so corrections, that are allowed, can be made.

  I was terrified to take him because of such bad ratings, but his lectures are so easy to follow that the knowledge I gained in his class got me into a coding camp at Harvard (& this is coming from the laziest student you'll ever meet). No due dates & no midterm/final. You can ONLY fail if you don't do the homework. If I can pass, anyone can.

  I actually wish I could give him a lower score. Gives 0s for naming something wrong. Gives 0s for not knowing how to use a website-- the class is about HTML, not mastering GIT HUB. Grades once every 30 days. 3 assignments a week MINIMUM. Ignores questions in discussion. It is sad that he leads this department.

  I realize this is an online course, but with the amount of software available for video lectures and tutorials, and the fact he never uses those resources, I fail to see the point of taking a class where you learn more from YouTube videos than the professor. Additionally, grading is incredibly slow. Waste of money. I taught myself everything.

  He is the ONLY professor at SSC who teaches this course every semester. Provides unclear instructions. He will tell you what he expects on each creative assignment right after he grading them (provided on each assignment's feedback via Canvas), takes weeks to grade assignments and doesn't tell his students CLEARLY at first what he REALLY wants.

  Kappers was an amazing professor. I learned so many things from this class, even things you can't find on YouTube. I highly recommend this professor if you're going for any Game or Graphic Design.

  Takes a long time to grade assignments. He is eager to help students, but has a stern look on his face that makes you not want to ask for any questions when you are stuck with a glitch in Photoshop. Try to keep up, since he teaches very fast.

  A lot of people complain about him being late or not being engaged... this is college people. Find something constructive to do with your extra time. I happen to be the kind of person that appreciates being left to work at my own pace. He was always kind and eager to help when needed. No complaints here.

  Kappers was an interesting person. Like stated. He shows up late, one time 20 min late. SO BAD. The projects were fun and he attempted to do step by steps but sometimes I didn't get it. The book helps but isn't what he wants sometimes. Vague. Intimidating.

  Kappers is a very fair professor and very helpful. I learned a lot in his class, although I found his class to be very difficult. Yes, you have to actually try in this class. He is tough on grading assignments but if you know you got a good grade that you earned it.
